Who eat's at home these day's?

Apparently not me.

Today was my first day back at work since vacation. I always have trouble with the transition from relaxing and spending my time how I want to while on vacation to coming back to work. Oh well, gotta pay the bills:)

I started off my morning with a much needed triple venti skinny vanilla latte from Starbucks:

Lunch

Chicken Risotto. I wasn't sure how this lunch was going to taste but I was willing to give it a shot. So glad I did because it was fantastic, all the herbs in the mix made the flavor just pop!

Happy Hour

Patrick and I stopped at Ceres to grab a cocktail and chat with the servers who have now become friends, love that!

To drink I had raspberry vodka and sugar free red bull:

Ever since coming back from St. Maarten I have been really cold. I needed to warm up so I ordered a bowl of Chicken Noodle soup. I only ate about half the bowl and mostly the broth:

Dinner

After spending over an hour at Ceres we decided to head out to dinner. We ended up at a place around the corner from our house. I believe it is a restaurant attached to a Best Western. It is a very strange place because it is located on Michigan Avenue but pretty much always empty. On a Thursday night we were the only customers in the entire place!

I ordered a glass of champagne. I only drank about half because it didn't taste very good and I'm not going to consume something if it isn't fantastic!

Patrick and I split this BBQ Chicken pizza. Most the time I don't eat an entire half of a pizza but this was so freakin' good that I probably could have eaten the entire thing by myself!

Maybe it was so good because they baked it in this cool looking pizza oven:

After dinner we went home to cuddle with the puppies. Little did we know that they developed the stomach flu over the coarse of the day so we walked into a HUGE mess!!! My poor dogs are still sick so my husband stayed home to tend to them. It always makes me incredibly sad when the dogs are sick. They have no idea what is happening and they are just so scared:(

Question:

If you have an animal, how do you take care of them when they are sick?

Strange question, I know, but animals always seem so helpless when they are sick. I try to pet them and comfort them as much as possible. Lots of cuddling!
