A day of beauty

Woke up this morning and the first thing I did was pop 2 of these in my mouth:

I was about to go on my day of beauty (in preparation for my vacation) and waxing is involved. It was recommended to me to take 2 Aleve and the experience would be a bit more bearable. I have to say it worked, still was not my favorite thing in the world but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.

Breakfast

Before I left for the salon I made myself a scrumptious bowl of banana oats with peanut butter:

Lunch

The oatmeal totally did it's job and I didn't get hungry for lunch until 2:00pm. So I grabbed a can of Amy's Black Bean Vegetable soup:

The soup was very good but I like my bean soup a bit more on the spicy side.

I tried adding some chili powder which tasted good. Next time I will add some hot sauce!

I was feeling the effect of no coffee this morning so I downed a Diet Coke at lunch to wake me up a bit;)

So now I'm home after getting waxed, hair colored and cut, nails done and spray tanned! A lot of girls would like this kind of day but it was very hard for me. I don't really like all the touching and it is so hard to sit still for that long! However, the salon I go to is WONDERFUL and the people who work with me are fantastic!

Husband Highlight

Oh yeah, look what my husband made last night:

Homemade guacamole with some serious spice!

Question:

What is your favorite Amy's soup?

  1. Tabasco kicks up anything! :D

Love the guacamole - I just stared liking avocados like 4 years ago - I just assumed I didn't like them - missed out for so long!

I have to say I don't eat many canned soups because I make mine from scratch - but if push comes to shove, I have to go to Classic Campbell's Tomato Soup - its my guilty pleasure that I store at work - just the smell of the soup makes my husband throw up in his mouth a little bit!

    Happy Friday!

  2. Uggg, waxing. It doesn't feel good anywhere! I waxed a ton leading up to my wedding, so that I would be hair free for weeks (wedding and honeymoon!). It was painful, but the end result was worth it. I didn't keep up with it. I wish I could get laser hair removal! I would if it wasn't so expensive!!!!

  6. Hubby in the kitchen, always a nice surprise :)

I have only tried one Amy's soup, and I think it was plain vegetable. I didn't like it. It was very bland, but hey, it wasn't a very exciting flavor either! I should try some others. The black bean sounds really good. Now that I have a Magic Bullet, I want to start making my own soups!
